Bio

Paul N. Iannone, JD, CPA, MST is the founder of Tax Career Advisor, LLC and the author of Extraordinary Tax Career.  He is an accomplished tax professional, coach, mentor, teacher, trainer, and highly sought after speaker.  His diversified tax experience of over 35 years has included positions with the I.R.S., public accounting, two multinational corporations, academia, and legal practice including his own tax law firm.  Paul is also a frequent provider and presenter of continuing professional education for both accountants and lawyers.

Paul began his tax career as a student co-op with the I.R.S. and was promoted to Revenue Agent and ultimately promoted to Appeals Officer.  After approximately seven and half years with the I.R.S., Paul joined a regional mid-sized C.P.A. firm as a tax manager and rose to the partner level.  After 13 years with the firm, he decided to pursue a law degree.  He joined the tax departments of two multinational insurance companies where he served as tax counsel and in various tax director roles.  After approximately eight years in corporate tax, Paul obtained a full-time university teaching position where he taught business law and taxation in both the undergraduate and graduate levels.  At that time he also opened his own tax law firm where he specialized in tax controversy matters and mergers and acquisitions.  Paul was recruited by a Big 4 firm and joined their merger and acquisition group where he rose to the level of director and remained for six years.  He is presently tax counsel with a mid-sized law firm practicing in the areas of tax controversy and business tax.
